Olea Excelsa

The Olea Excelsa (or also called Notelea Excelsa) is an ancient wood native of Sardinia , a relative of the olive wood.
The curing process of this wood is undoubtedly laborious as it is before is immersed in sea water to remove the oily component of the wood and later in fresh running water to wash away the salt.
Only then you can proceed with appropriate seasoning.
For all these reasons the production of these pipes is necessarily limited.
The particular grain of the wood and the natural sandblasted finishing (with no added colors or varnish) give to these pipes a recognition and an undisputed value.
